Research
The HfMDK promotes a dynamic research environment in the dialogue between scientific, artistic and interdisciplinary research approaches and represents a pluralistic understanding of research.
Research focuses on music education, musicology and dance studies. Research activities in the field of artistic research are also ongoing under the title "Research at the School of Art" (Forschung an der Kunsthochschule). The right to award doctorates is located in Faculty 2.
Research activities at the HfMDK are correspondingly diverse. In addition to major research projects, numerous formats including symposia, conferences, lecture series, seminars and working group meetings are regularly organized.
