Counseling for Students: Safe and Confidential
All conversations with the university’s counselors take place in a safe space and are subject to confidentiality. Information from the conversation will only be shared with the express consent of the person concerned, and measures will likewise only be initiated with the express consent of the person concerned.

Walk-in Office Hours – Room GER 115
Due to the renovation of the C Building, the counseling room C 202 has been moved to Gervinusstraße, Room 115 .
During the lecture period, open office hours are held several times a week in counseling room GER 115; you can attend these without a prior appointment.
You also have the option of contacting the advisors directly to schedule individual appointments outside of these time slots. You can find the relevant contact information via the links below.

Discrimination Complaint Office
In addition to receiving counseling, those affected by discrimination can file a complaint with the complaints office. Filing a complaint initiates a proceeding that is brought to the attention of the university administration and is therefore not subject to confidentiality. The proceeding makes it possible to impose sanctions on those responsible for the discrimination.

Complaints Office for Academic Conditions
Students may file complaints regarding academic conditions with the Complaints Office. The Complaints Office works with the academic departments and university administration to develop solutions to these issues. The process is not subject to confidentiality.
