Coun­se­ling for stu­dents: Pro­tec­ted and con­fi­den­ti­al

All con­ver­sa­ti­ons with the uni­ver­si­ty­'s coun­selors take place in a pro­tec­ted space and are sub­ject to con­fi­den­tia­li­ty. In­for­ma­ti­on from the con­ver­sa­ti­on is only pas­sed on with the ex­press con­sent of the per­son con­cer­ned, and mea­su­res are also only in­itia­ted with the ex­press con­sent of the per­son con­cer­ned.

Open consultation hours - Room GER 115

Coun­se­ling room C 202 has been mo­ved to Ger­vi­nus­stra­ße, room 115 due to the re­no­va­ti­on of the C-buil­ding.
Du­ring the lec­tu­re pe­ri­od, open con­sul­ta­ti­on hours take place several times a week in the coun­se­ling room GER 115, which you can at­tend wi­t­hout pri­or re­gis­tra­ti­on.
You also have the op­por­tu­ni­ty to make in­di­vi­du­al ap­point­ments out­si­de of the­se time slots by con­tac­ting the coun­selors di­rec­t­ly. You can find the re­le­vant con­tact de­tails via the links be­low.

Com­p­laints of­fice for discri­mi­na­ti­on

In ad­di­ti­on to coun­se­ling, tho­se af­fec­ted by discri­mi­na­ti­on can com­p­lain to the com­p­laints of­fice. The com­p­laint opens a pro­ce­du­re that be­co­mes known to the uni­ver­si­ty ma­nage­ment and is the­re­fo­re not sub­ject to con­fi­den­tia­li­ty. The pro­ce­du­re opens up the pos­si­bi­li­ty of im­po­sing sanc­tions against the discri­mi­na­ting per­sons.

Stu­dents can com­p­lain to the Com­p­laints Of­fice about stu­dy con­di­ti­ons. The com­p­laints of­fice works out so­lu­ti­ons to pro­blems in con­sul­ta­ti­on with the de­part­ments and the uni­ver­si­ty ma­nage­ment. The pro­ce­du­re is not sub­ject to con­fi­den­tia­li­ty.
