Self-service recording equipment (SAE)

Since the beginning of the winter semester 2024/2025, all members of the HfMDK Frankfurt have been able to use the self-service recording equipment (SAE) in the concert halls. Using permanently installed microphones and cameras, this enables rehearsals, concerts or demo videos to be recorded independently. The system is activated when the halls are in use.

To create a recording, log in with your HfMDK account. After entering a project name, selecting the camera position and amplifying the microphone signals, you can now create as many recordings as you like. The time for a single recording is limited to three hours. Immediately after recording, you will receive a download link via the Nextcloud system. This is available to you for 30 days.

Recordings by the AV department team

The AV department will of course continue to supervise productions and recordings.

If there is an explicit need for professional recordings (e.g. several cameras and microphones, lighting equipment, personal support from a sound engineer/video producer, etc.) and the personnel capacity allows, the AV department team will be happy to take on recordings, productions, live streams, etc.
