How can I make an ap­point­ment for a re­cord­ing?

Plea­se sub­mit your re­quests re­gar­ding re­cord­ings/pro­duc­tions (au­dio/vi­deo) via the web form.

What in­for­ma­ti­on does the sound en­gi­neer/vi­deo pro­du­cer need be­fo­re the re­cord­ing be­gins?

The fol­lo­wing in­for­ma­ti­on is hel­pful for the sound en­gi­neer:

  • De­si­red date and time
  • Pro­gram
  • Cast
  • Spe­cial fea­tures such as am­pli­fi­ca­ti­on, feed, ...
  • For re­cord­ings for com­pe­ti­ti­ons: re­qui­re­ments of the or­ga­ni­zers and, if ne­cessa­ry, spe­cial forms

What else should be con­si­de­red be­fo­re re­cord­ing?

  • For a pro­duc­tion, a com­ple­te copy of the sheet mu­sic should be avail­ab­le for the sound en­gi­neer/vi­deo pro­du­cer. This can eit­her be sent by email (PDF file) or be avail­ab­le on the day as a prin­ted copy.
  • Plea­se send us all in­for­ma­ti­on by email (na­mes of per­for­mers, en­sem­ble name if ap­p­li­ca­ble, in­stru­ments, works, etc.).
  • For re­cord­ings with his­to­ri­cal in­stru­ments (harp­si­chord or si­mi­lar), trans­por­ta­ti­on should be ar­ran­ged and suf­fi­ci­ent time for tu­ning should be al­lo­wed.
  • Plea­se en­su­re ap­pro­pria­te clot­hing for vi­deo re­cord­ings; also for the ac­com­pa­nists!

For my com­pe­ti­ti­on, the sound en­gi­neer/vi­deo pro­du­cer must cer­ti­fy that the re­cord­ings are not edi­ted or other­wi­se pro­ces­sed. What is the best way to do this?

It is best to send the form (if the­re is one) with your ad­mis­si­on re­quest or bring it with you to the ad­mis­si­on ap­point­ment.

How are the fi­nis­hed re­cord­ings de­li­ve­r­ed?

You will re­cei­ve a down­load link wi­t­hin a few days, which is va­lid for 30 days.

In my re­cord­ing, the sound and pic­tu­re are out of sync. What can I do?

Al­ways use the VLC Me­dia Play­er for play­back. It can be down­loa­ded free of char­ge here. Ac­cord­ing to our ex­pe­ri­ence, dif­fi­cul­ties oc­cur more of­ten with other play­back soft­ware.

How can I edit my vi­deo mys­elf?

It is best to use the AVI­DE­MUX soft­ware for this pur­po­se. Plea­se re­fer to our Quick Start Gui­de.

Can I bor­row equip­ment from the re­cord­ing stu­dio, such as mi­cro­pho­nes and ca­bles?

It is not pos­si­ble to bor­row tech­no­lo­gy. We kind­ly ask you to re­frain from such re­quests. Me­dia can only be bor­ro­wed via the house­kee­ping ser­vice.

Is an in­ternship pos­si­ble for pu­pils or stu­dents?

Un­for­tu­n­a­te­ly, in­ternships in the stu­di­os of the AV de­part­ment are not pos­si­ble.
