AV Stu­dio

The au­dio/vi­deo stu­dio was re­de­si­gned and re­fur­bis­hed from scratch in 2020. This pro­vi­des - in ad­di­ti­on to the re­cord­ing fa­ci­li­ties in the Lar­ge and Small Halls - a fur­ther room for the pro­duc­tion of a wide va­rie­ty of sound and vi­deo re­cord­ings.

In the cour­se of the con­cep­tu­al de­sign of the space, the grea­test at­ten­ti­on was paid to en­su­ring that ar­tists and en­sem­bles of a wide va­rie­ty of co­lors and styles can find their place here and work un­der op­ti­mal working con­di­ti­ons. In the AV stu­dio, re­cord­ings of va­rious kinds are rea­li­zed - from pure voice re­cord­ings to string quar­tet pro­duc­tions to the pro­duc­tion of a jazz en­sem­ble with several ca­me­ras.

The stu­dio con­sists of an ap­pro­xi­mate­ly 30sqm con­trol room, whe­re sound en­gi­neers and ar­tists* can lis­ten and dis­cuss, and an ap­pro­xi­mate­ly 70sqm stu­dio with a new Stein­way C, which is ex­clu­si­ve­ly avail­ab­le for en­sem­ble re­cord­ings.

The en­t­i­re stu­dio has been acousti­cal­ly op­ti­mi­zed by a re­now­ned acoustic com­pa­ny and in­clu­des pro­fes­sio­nal ca­me­ra, vi­deo and au­dio tech­no­lo­gy in ad­di­ti­on to con­tem­pora­ry ligh­t­ing tech­no­lo­gy.

In the AV stu­dio of the HfMDK (in ad­di­ti­on to the pro­duc­tion of simp­le do­cu­men­ta­ry re­cord­ings), lon­ger pro­duc­tion dates are also pos­si­ble, in which the mu­si­ci­ans* have the op­por­tu­ni­ty to

• pro­du­ce a work with the sup­port of a mu­si­cal re­cord­ing su­per­vi­sor (in­clu­ding sub­se­quent edi­t­ing),
• to sta­ge a work vi­deo­gra­phi­cal­ly with pro­fes­sio­nal ligh­t­ing and ca­me­ra tech­no­lo­gy.
