The Department of University Didactics deals with the planning and design of teaching and learning processes at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts at the interface between teaching, course development and quality assurance.

From teaching to learning

As a central service point for university didactics, advice and personal development, it supports the change of perspective "from teaching to learning" and "from lecturer to learning facilitator". Needs-based services such as (didactic) advice, teaching reflection, supervision, (peer) coaching and workshops support the deepening and updating of existing skills and lifelong learning.

Professionalization and networking

With the orientation towards current framework and learning conditions and the inclusion of new teaching and learning formats, all teachers at the HfMDK are given access to further professionalization, information and networking within and outside the university.

In addition, cooperations and projects at Hessian, national and international level offer a broad exchange, participation in future topics and the further development of digital teaching and learning formats.

The HfMDK is a project partner in the Hesse Digital University Teaching Network, whose diverse offerings are open to all teaching staff.

Internal and external consulting and coaching services are available for individual reflection, positioning and further professionalization.

University didactics and teaching development, as essential components of university development, have a sustainable and effective impact on artistic, pedagogical and academic teaching, on personal (teaching) development and on the overall culture of the university.
