Examination program:
- one classical violin concerto
- a major violin concerto from the Romantic period onwards
- one free work (solo work, sonata/chamber music work, virtuoso piece)
- If orchestral focus is chosen: 8 orchestral parts
One of the first two works must be fully prepared, only the first movement of the second concerto. Each composer may only be represented once. If the piece is too long, the commission will make a selection.

- two movements from a classical work for viola
- First movement of one of the great viola concertos of the 20th century

- A compulsory piece to be worked on independently (complex work or excerpt from a work composed after 1949. This is determined anew each semester by the commission and announced 4 weeks before the examination.
- If orchestral focus is chosen: 6 orchestral parts, 2 orchestral parts must be sight-read

- one romantic double bass concerto
- one free work (solo work, sonata, virtuoso piece, chamber music work)
- 10 orchestral parts + 2 orchestral parts from sheet music
Each composer may only be represented once. If the piece is too long, the commission will make a selection.
Form of examination: 1 part, possibly with a break
Duration of examination: approx. 75-80 min. recital, if orchestra is chosen, incl. 20-30 min. rehearsal program
Examination program:
- four works from four different eras and one chamber music work; one modern work must be included. The chamber music work can be identical to the modern work - it counts as one of the styles.
Internal examination part (before or after the recital):

- If orchestral focus is chosen: audition concert

The given examination times may make it necessary for the program proposal for large, representative solo or chamber music works to include only the first movement so that the different epochs can be taken into account.

A piano program (usually complete works), including at least 3 epochs, including at least one major romantic or one classical work
Graduates must provide proof that works from five stylistic periods have been performed in public recitals with a previously published program during their studies. The stylistic periods are: Baroque, classical, romantic, early/classical modern, works after 1950. One of the works must be a piano concerto. In addition, proof must be provided that two etudes (including one by Chopin) have been performed in public during the course of study.
Note: The piano concerto may not be repeated in the Master's final recital.

Examination program:
Performance of works from at least 4 stylistic periods. There must be one work composed before 1750, one work from the classical period (e.g. Sor, Aguado, Giuliani) and one work composed after 1945. The proportion of chamber music can be up to 25 minutes.

Examination program:
The master recital should demonstrate an adult, mature artistic personality with comprehensive knowledge of the repertoire, but also a distinct individual profile. Emphasis is placed on creative power, technical and tonal mastery of the instrument, stylistically differentiated means of expression and stage presence.
The recital consists of a program from different stylistic areas with predominantly very demanding solo and chamber music works (at least one solo and one with basso continuo) under a self-chosen artistic motto and a presentation of this program. The selected music programs should also demonstrate individual achievements such as Arranging, stylistically bound improvisation or stylistically bound composition, ornamentation where appropriate.
Module III.1.1 - Artistic core subject 1
- Practical artistic examination in organ (10-20 min):
- Performance of a written examination piece (preparation time: four weeks)
The written examination piece is selected by the main subject teacher.
Module III.2.2 - Supplementary subjects 2
Practical artistic examination in piano (50-60 min):
- Performance of a program of works from different eras, including at least one composition by J. S. Bach and one cyclical work. (A cyclical work is, for example, a complete sonata, but not a prelude and fugue. In cases of doubt, the training directorate should be consulted). At least one work must be performed from memory.
Practical artistic examination in organ improvisation (20-30 min):
- Preparation time one week: Improvization of various forms on at least three given themes (both free and cantus-firmus bound), two intonations as well as own accompaniments;
- Sight-reading of songs in own harmonization with intonation

Module III.3 - Final module
Master's project artistic: final recital (min. 60 min):
- Performance of a representative concert program with works from at least four stylistic periods, including at least one work by J. S. Bach and one contemporary work;
- In the case of a particularly distinguished program, fewer than four epochs may be represented.
- Proof of a repertoire list.
- The location or instrument of the examination is determined in consultation with the main subject teacher.
Master's project in writing: Selection from several options (see module description and examination schedule);
Length: at least 20,000 characters. An information sheet provides information on the modalities of registration and supervision as well as formal requirements.
