The Pre­si­dent, Prof. El­mar Ful­da, re­p­res­ents the uni­ver­si­ty ex­tern­al­ly and is the su­pe­ri­or of the staff. His ac­tivi­ties fo­cus on the stra­te­gic de­ve­lop­ment of the uni­ver­si­ty, net­wor­king the uni­ver­si­ty with po­li­tics and so­cie­ty and the new con­struc­tion of the HfMDK. Wi­t­hin the Pre­si­di­um, he is re­spon­si­ble for fund­rai­sing, press and com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on, event ma­nage­ment, anti-discri­mi­na­ti­on and in­clu­si­on. He is re­spon­si­ble for stra­te­gic per­son­nel de­ve­lop­ment in re­se­arch and tea­ching.

Chan­cellor Kers­tin Hort-Schelm is re­spon­si­ble for per­son­nel and le­gal mat­ters and ma­na­ges the uni­ver­si­ty­'s fi­nan­ces. She is re­spon­si­ble for con­struc­tion and buil­ding ma­nage­ment and is pa­ving the uni­ver­si­ty­'s way towards cli­ma­te neu­tra­li­ty with the Sustai­na­bi­li­ty de­part­ment.

The full-time Vice Pre­si­dent Bri­git­te Bin­der is Vice Pre­si­dent for Uni­ver­si­ty De­ve­lop­ment and Di­gi­ta­li­za­ti­on. She dri­ves uni­ver­si­ty de­ve­lop­ment (tar­get agree­ments, ma­nage­ment pro­ces­ses, or­ga­ni­za­tio­nal de­ve­lop­ment) and the di­gi­ta­li­za­ti­on pro­ces­ses of the HfMDK.

Prof. Dr. Ul­rich Krepp­ein has been tea­ching as Pro­fes­sor of Com­po­si­ti­on and Mu­sic Theo­ry at the HfMDK sin­ce 2022 and is part of the cour­se ma­nage­ment of the coope­ra­ti­ve stu­dy pro­gram with En­sem­ble Mo­dern. As Vice Pre­si­dent for Qua­li­ty De­ve­lop­ment in Tea­ching and Re­se­arch, he con­ti­nues the con­cep­tu­al de­ve­lop­ment of the de­gree pro­grams, is re­spon­si­ble for the main are­as of eva­lua­ti­on and ac­credi­ta­ti­on as well as streng­t­he­ning re­se­arch in­itia­ti­ves at the uni­ver­si­ty and is a mem­ber of the HfMD­K's In­sti­tu­te for Con­tem­pora­ry Mu­sic as a re­p­re­sen­ta­ti­ve of the Pre­si­den­ti­al Board.

Prof. Tim Vog­ler is Vice Pre­si­dent for Stu­dies, Tea­ching and Ar­tis­tic Pro­jec­ts. Tog­e­ther with the Stu­dent Ser­vices de­part­ment, he is re­spon­si­ble for stu­dent ma­nage­ment and the frame­work con­di­ti­ons for tea­ching and ex­ami­na­ti­ons as well as the ope­ra­ti­on of the Cam­pus Ma­nage­ment Sys­tem. He also in­itia­tes and coor­di­na­tes ar­tis­tic pro­jec­ts. Tim Vog­ler has been Pro­fes­sor of String Cham­ber Mu­sic at the HfMDK sin­ce 2017.
