Conducting Studio
The conducting studio of the HfMDK is intended to serve the students of the conducting classes as well as church music for conducting practice. Here, students are allowed to conduct a student instrumental ensemble. The focus is on rehearsal work and conducting practice.
We would like to thank the sponsor of this course, Mr. Udo Schweickhardt, who made this pilot project possible with a generous donation.
Instrumentalists wanted!
For the conducting workshop we are looking for interested instrumentalists who would like to participate.
The participation can be credited in the elective area, but can also replace the orchestra obligation, if instrumentalists could not be assigned to a university project despite their orchestra obligation! The credit will be given after consultation with the orchestra office: Lisa Beck
What does the Conducting Studio offer?
Participation in the Conducting Studio provides:
- "sight-reading practice" in an instrumental ensemble or chamber orchestra
- A good mix of unfamiliar repertoire and classics
- Insights into conducting lessons and rehearsal methodology
