The con­duc­ting stu­dio at the HfMDK is in­ten­ded to pro­vi­de con­duc­ting prac­tice for stu­dents of con­duc­ting clas­ses and church mu­sic. Stu­dents are al­lo­wed to con­duct a stu­dent in­stru­men­tal en­sem­ble. The fo­cus is on rehe­ar­sal work and con­duc­ting.

We would like to thank the spon­sor of this cour­se, Mr. Udo Schweick­hardt, who has made this pi­lot pro­ject pos­si­ble with a ge­nerous do­na­ti­on.

In­stru­men­ta­lists wan­ted!

We are loo­king for in­te­rested in­stru­men­ta­lists who would like to take part in the con­duc­ting work­shop.

Par­ti­ci­pa­ti­on can be credi­ted in the elec­tive area, but can also re­place the or­ches­tral ob­li­ga­ti­on if in­stru­men­ta­lists could not be as­si­gned to a uni­ver­si­ty pro­ject de­spi­te their or­ches­tral ob­li­ga­ti­on! Credit will then be gi­ven af­ter con­sul­ta­ti­on with the or­ches­tra of­fice: Lisa Beck

What does the con­duc­ting stu­dio of­fer?

  • Fa­mi­lia­ri­za­ti­on with or­ches­tral and ope­ra li­te­ra­tu­re
  • Prac­tice play­ing in in­stru­men­tal en­sem­bles and cham­ber or­che­s­tras
  • In­sights into con­duc­ting les­sons and rehe­ar­sal me­tho­do­lo­gy
  • au­di­tion po­si­ti­ons if ne­cessa­ry
