<p class="Mso­Nor­mal" style="mar­gin-right: -.05pt; text-align: ju­s­ti­fy; text-in­dent: 35.4pt;">Guil­ler­mo de la Chi­ca L&oa­cu­te;pez was born in Gra­na­da, Spain. <span lang="EN-GB">He be­gan to take bal­let and mo­dern thea­ter clas­ses with the dance pro­gram re­gu­la­ted by the Im­pe­ri­al So­cie­ty of Tea­chers of Dan­cing (ISTD). At the age of twel­ve, he star­ted tra­vel­ling to Eng­land every sum­mer to get more know­ledge about other dance fields, such as com­mer­ci­al dance with Ryan Jenkins and mu­si­cal thea­ter.</span></p>
<p class="Mso­Nor­mal" style="mar­gin-right: -.05pt; text-align: ju­s­ti­fy; text-in­dent: 35.4pt;"><span lang="EN-GB">In 2017, he at­ten­ded the Uni­ver­si­ty of Mu­sic and Per­forming Arts in Frank­furt am Main, to start his stu­dies in the Ba­che­lor Dance pro­gram. Here he de­ve­lo­ped his bal­let tech­ni­que and gai­ned va­lu­able skills in in­ter­na­tio­nal folk­lo­re and im­pro­vi­sa­ti­on tech­ni­ques like con­tact and For­sy­the im­pro­vi­sa­ti­on. Over the ye­ars, he re­cei­ved si­gni­fi­cant ar­tis­tic im­pul­ses working with cho­reo­graph­ers and re­now­ned peop­le as Die­ter Heit­kamp, Ge­org Reischl, Jo­han­nes Wie­land, Re­gi­na van Ber­kel, Ay­man Har­per, Paul White, Ema­nu­el Gat, Han­nah Shak­ti B&uuml;hler and Iv&aa­cu­te;n P&eacu­te;rez. His ar­tis­tic eager ne­ver cea­ses, that is why he is al­ways up to tra­vel in or­der to par­ti­ci­pa­te in se­mi­nars and work­shops. This crea­tes the op­por­tu­ni­ty to work di­rec­t­ly with peop­le such as I&ntil­de;aki Az­pil­la­ga, Ja­co­po Go­da­ni and Mar­tin Kil­va­di.</span></p>
<p class="Mso­Nor­mal" style="mar­gin-right: -.05pt; text-align: ju­s­ti­fy; text-in­dent: 35.4pt;"><span lang="EN-GB">Sin­ce 2018, Guil­ler­mo has been qui­te ac­tive in joi­ning dif­fe­rent fes­ti­vals.&nbsp;</span><span lang="EN-GB">That year he be­ca­me part of the cast of "</span>Jo­hann <span lang="EN-GB">Faus­tus"</span> by<span lang="EN-GB"> Hanns Eis­ler and the next year, at­ten­ded "</span><span lang="EN-US"><span lang="EN-US">Zu­kunft Tanz - Abend der jun­gen Cho­reo­gra­fie"</span></span><span lang="EN-US">.&nbsp;</span><span lang="EN-US">Af­ter fi­nis­hing his third year at HfMDK in Frank­furt, Guil­ler­mo in­me­dia­te­ly star­ting working on more pro­jec­ts for dif­fe­rent ar­tists.</span><span lang="EN-US"> In <a href="https://www.gus­ta­vo-go­mes.com/the-blue-knight&quot; tar­get="_blank" rel="noo­pe­ner">"The Blue Knight"</a> (2020), he worked with the out­stan­ding cho­reo­gra­pher Gus­ta­vo Go­mes on an hour and a half solo for the dance per­for­mance film. Here he fi­nal­ly went de­eper into the fu­si­on of what he loves the most: dance, thea­ter and vi­deo. From the­re he con­ti­nued with Ro­byn Or­lin and Evan­ge­los Pouli­nas in the next year.</span></p>
<p class="Mso­Nor­mal" style="mar­gin-right: -.05pt; text-align: ju­s­ti­fy; text-in­dent: 35.4pt;"><span lang="EN-GB">He not only loves dance, but also ex­pres­sing him­s­elf on sta­ge in one way or ano­t­her: he feels qui­te com­for­ta­ble sin­ging and ac­ting with an au­di­ence in front. W</span><span lang="EN-US">ri­ting is ano­t­her huge tool he al­ways turns to whenever he feels like. This made him start wri­ting his first no­vel at the age of 11 and win three li­tera­ry awards (2013, 2015 and 2017).</span> <span lang="EN-US">In ad­di­ti­on, pho­to­gra­phy be­gan to in­te­rest him as well. Late­ly he did some col­la­bo­ra­ti­ons as a mo­del in dif­fe­rent pro­jec­ts. An examp­le of this is "Crui­sing"</span><span lang="EN-US"> (Mon­te­vi­deo, 2019), by the Spa­nish ar­tist Ale­jan­dr&iacu­te;a Cin­que, whe­re he could play with con­cepts like nu­di­ty and queer histo­ry.</span></p>
<p class="Mso­Nor­mal" style="mar­gin-right: -.05pt; text-align: ju­s­ti­fy; text-in­dent: 35.4pt;"><span lang="EN-US">Guil­ler­mo loves crea­ting and is </span>a very di­li­gent and high­ly mo­ti­va­ted per­son and <span lang="EN-GB">ar­tist. He en­joys working and ex­pe­ri­men­ting with dance, thea­t­re, text and shif­ting ro­les that are al­rea­dy de­ter­mi­ned in our so­cie­ty. This is qui­te appre­cia­ble in the last pie­ce he crea­ted and pre­sen­ted in July 2020 in Frank­furt, "thE lOss Of sElf". Guil­ler­mo's first ex­pe­ri­ence as a cho­reo­gra­pher was re­mar­kab­le and he is loo­king for­ward to do­ing it again.</span></p>
