Fanni Schack, grown up in Hungary, is a dancer, dance educator and Gyrokinesis trainer. She completed her studies at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt, earning a BA in Dance with a focus on contemporary dance. In 2023, she completed her Master’s degree in Contemporary Dance Education at the same institution.

As a freelance dancer, Fanni continues to work and train in Frankfurt. She performed with the Nanine Linning Dance Company in “Requiem“ (2011–2012) and collaborated with Tanja Brechmann, Sven Gettkant, Michael Gross, and Richard Oberscheven, exploring various dance styles at the performance evening, “Collectiv:space“ in Frankfurt. Since 2014, Fanni has been teaching a wide range of groups, aiming to encourage self-confidence, awareness, and a sense of community through dance. Recently, she has had opportunities to teach dance at the Künstler*innenhaus Mousonturm, the Tanzkongress in Mainz (2022), and the 20th-anniversary celebration of the Hessian Theater Academy in Frankfurt (2023).

Fanni’s interest in movement is grounded in exploring movement qualities through active sensory and somatic awareness. Endurance in improvisation and the transformation of movements are key concepts in her work, with inspiration drawn from improvisation techniques such as Gaga. Additionally, during her Master’s thesis, synchronization processes emerged as significant elements. These now play an important role in her teaching.

Since 2023, Fanni has been working as a lecturer at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt and is a dance facilitator at Staatstheater Mainz.
