Enrique Rodríguez Yebra
Enrique Rodríguez Yebra was born in 1998 in Ponferrada, Spain. He began playing the double bass at the age of 8. In his hometown, he started the Professional Double Bass Studies finishing them in 2016 with the highest qualification. Since 2017 he studies the Bachelor Degree under the guidance of Prof. Christoph Schmidt at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main.
Enrique is currently part of orchestras like Symphony Orchestra Vigo 430 and Orchestra Gaos and is Principal Bass in the Galicia Youth Symphony Orchestra. He has also played with the Galicia Symphony Orchestra and in 2017 he played in the Konzerthaus Berlin and the Kurhaus in Wiesbaden with the Cuban European Youth Academy of the Balthasar Neumann Ensemble.
He has played with soloist such as Stefan Dohr, Sophie Pacini or Guillermo Pastrana and conductors such as Cristobal Halffter, Dima Slobodeniouk or Jesus Lopez Cobos.
As composer, Enrique has attended to masterclasses and courses with Cristobal Halffter, Tomás Marco or José María Sánchez Verdú. He is currently studying with Israel López Estelche.
