Da­ni­que de Bont was born in the Ne­ther­lands in 2000.

She be­gan her dance trai­ning at the Roy­al Con­ser­vato­ry The Ha­gue. Af­ter she be­ca­me more in­te­rested in con­tem­pora­ry dance she star­ted trai­ning at Ar­tEZ Ven­lo and con­ti­nued her edu­ca­ti­on in the BA pro­gram at the Frank­furt Uni­ver­si­ty of Mu­sic and Per­forming Arts un­der the di­rec­tion of Die­ter Heit­kamp. The­re she gai­ned know­ledge about dif­fe­rent so­ma­tic prac­tices, im­pro­vi­sa­ti­on tech­ni­ques, and con­tact im­pro­vi­sa­ti­on.

Whilst stu­dy­ing, she took ex­tra cour­ses in ana­to­my and sport psy­cho­lo­gy to crea­te a safe and healt­hy dance prac­tice. Du­ring her stu­dies, she worked with dif­fe­rent cho­reo­graph­ers such as Cy­ril Bal­dy, Kris­tel van Issum, Pe­ter Mika, Neel Ver­do­orn, and Da­ni­el Mo­ra­les Pe­rez and par­ti­ci­pa­ted in work­shops like Fly­ing Low with Na­ren­dra Pa­til, Gaga with Ka­sia Ki­zi­or, and Coun­ter­tech­ni­que with Eli­ta Can­na­ta.

She is in­te­rested in ex­plo­ring the phy­si­cal li­mits of the hu­man body.
