Speed Da­ting, 14 Fe­bru­a­ry 2019

At the MA CoDE Speed Da­ting, MA CoDE stu­dents meet and ex­chan­ge ide­as with a va­rie­ty of in­vi­ted ex­perts from dif­fe­rent fields. Af­ter­wards, the stu­dents choo­se their per­so­nal men­tors who will ac­com­pa­ny them in the third se­mes­ter.

 

Exams, De­cem­ber 20, 2018 and Fe­bru­a­ry 11 + 13, 2019

Ex­ami­na­ti­ons in Mo­du­le 1 will take place on 20 De­cem­ber 2018 and ex­ami­na­ti­ons in Mo­du­les 2 and 4 will take place on 11 and 13 Fe­bru­a­ry 2019. The se­cond aca­de­mic year of the 7th MA CoDE Ge­nera­ti­on will clo­se on 15.2.

 

Fun­ding and ap­p­li­ca­ti­on pro­ce­du­res, Fe­bru­a­ry 6, 2019

The phy­sio­the­ra­pist and for­mer dan­cer will speak about "To­xic Lea­dership" in the field of dance.

From a theo­re­ti­cal per­spec­tive, Dr. Chris­ti­na De­log­lu will pre­sent on ma­ni­pu­la­ti­on and bounda­ry crossing in so­ma­tic prac­tice.

Power, Touch and Ma­ni­pu­la­ti­on, Ja­nu­a­ry and Fe­bru­a­ry 2019

Trig­ge­red by the cur­rent "Me Too" de­ba­te, we will ex­plo­re the the­me of "Power, Touch and Ma­ni­pu­la­ti­on" du­ring the win­ter term. To this end, several in­ter­na­tio­nal guest lec­tu­rers will be in­vi­ted to ad­dress the dif­fe­rent are­as of this re­le­vant to­pic for dance and tea­ching.

 

Do­cu­men­ta­ti­on of Dance > new Pro­jec­ts < with Cont­re­dan­se Bru­xel­les, Ja­nu­a­ry 10-11, 2019

Flo­rence Co­rin and Bap­tis­te An­dri­en from Cont­re­dan­se will give in­sights into their re­se­arch and do­cu­men­ta­ti­on re­sults and teach the cur­rent ge­nera­ti­on of stu­dents about dif­fe­rent me­thods and is­su­es in dance do­cu­men­ta­ti­on.

Cul­tu­ral Edu­ca­ti­on, Ja­nu­a­ry 2019

For the first time, the prac­ti­cal ap­p­li­ca­ti­on of Cul­tu­ral Edu­ca­ti­on will take place in an in­te­gra­ti­ve kin­der­gar­ten of Le­bens­hil­fe e.V. on three dates (23.1., 24.1., 30.1). This work will be theo­re­ti­cal­ly un­der­pin­ned in the cour­se of the se­mes­ter and re­flec­ted on in the ex­chan­ge.

 

De­ve­lop­men­tal Pat­terns & Psy­cho­lo­gy, Tru­de Cone, Ste­phan Berg, Jan. 14-17, 2019

Tru­de Cone, long-time di­rec­tor and lec­tu­rer at SNDO - School for New Dance De­ve­lop­ment - Ams­ter­dam, will work with stu­dents on De­ve­lop­men­tal Pat­terns (BMC) as a prac­ti­cal com­ple­ment to the se­mi­nars in De­ve­lop­men­tal Psy­cho­lo­gy (5.12.18 & 17.1.19), which this time will be taught for the first time by mo­to­lo­gist Ste­phan Berg.

 

MA CoDE in Ou­to­kum­pu / Fin­land, 8 - 16 De­cem­ber 2018

MA CoDE is go­ing on a field trip to Fin­land. Du­ring this working week MA CoDE stu­dents will pre­sent cur­rent tea­ching for­mats and de­ve­lop a cur­ri­cu­lum of the fu­ture for the trai­ning clas­ses in Ou­to­kum­pu for this pur­po­se. The ex­chan­ge with stu­dents and lec­tu­rers at North Ka­re­lia Col­le­ge was de­si­gned in col­la­bo­ra­ti­on with Ri­ve­r­ia / tans­sin kou­lu­tus / dance edu­ca­ti­on in Ou­to­kum­pu.

 

Dra­ma­tur­gy ses­si­on, No­vem­ber 30, 2018

La­ris­sa Bi­sch­off, Dra­ma­turg Schloss­thea­ter Mo­ers, gra­dua­te of the Dra­ma­tur­gy pro­gram­me at Goe­the Uni­ver­si­ty and for­mer re­se­arch as­si­stant MA CoDE, will sha­re dra­ma­tur­gy con­cepts, dra­ma­tur­gi­cal struc­tures and ide­as with Cé­les­ti­ne Hen­ner­mann and the 7th ge­nera­ti­on stu­dents.

 

Wild Week, No­vem­ber 26-30, 2018

MA CoDE stu­dents teach pro­fes­sio­nal trai­ning at Künst­ler­haus Mou­son­turm in dai­ly chan­ging units - the­se are de­si­gned for dance houses or cho­reo­gra­phic cen­tres. The the­ma­tic fo­cus of the team and group tea­chings of the cur­rent Wil­de Wo­che is the ex­plo­ra­ti­on of dif­fe­rent trans­la­ti­ons of trai­ning ap­proa­ches from Dance Tech­ni­ques 2010 and Im­pro­vi­sa­ti­on Tech­no­lo­gies.

 

Vi­si­t­ing the Rem­scheid Aca­de­my, 28 Oc­to­ber - 2 No­vem­ber 2018

For the first time, the MA CoDE is a guest at the Aca­de­my of Cul­tu­ral Edu­ca­ti­on. Tog­e­ther with stu­dents, to­pics and for­mats of dance me­dia­ti­on in cur­rent dis­cour­se will be ex­plo­red in an open pro­cess: What forms of dance me­dia­ti­on are being used? How can dance edu­ca­ti­on open up to cur­rent to­pics? How do theo­ry and prac­tice in­tert­wi­ne? The stu­dents teach the par­ti­ci­pants and es­tab­lish con­nec­tions to va­rious his­to­ri­cal and con­tem­pora­ry dance tech­ni­ques.

Scott de­Lah­un­ta, an­no­ta­ti­ons/di­gi­tal trans­la­ti­ons on Gill Clar­ke, Oc­to­ber 17-19, 2018

Gill Clar­ke's tea­ching struc­tures, crea­ted as part of Dance Tech­ni­ques 2010, are the ex­em­pla­ry fo­cus of this se­mi­nar. The­se will be ana­ly­sed and ex­plo­red through an­no­ta­ti­on. Tog­e­ther with Dr. Scott de­Lah­un­ta (guest lec­tu­rer and pro­ject lea­der of Mo­ti­on­bank) a dis­cour­se on an­no­ta­ti­ons and di­gi­tal trans­la­ti­ons will take place. He will be sup­por­ted by Da­vid Rit­ters­haus, Uni­ver­si­ty of Mainz, who will give an in­tro­duc­tion to the new Pie­ce­ma­ker ver­si­on.

 

Start of the se­mes­ter, Oc­to­ber 15, 2018

The se­mes­ter starts with trans­la­ti­on pro­ces­ses of va­rious con­tem­pora­ry and his­to­ri­cal dance tech­ni­ques. Pre­sen­ta­ti­ons and prac­ti­cal trai­ning ses­si­ons by stu­dents will form the ba­sis for in-depth ex­plo­ra­ti­on and the de­ve­lop­ment of pro­jec­ts this win­ter se­mes­ter. The kick-off will be ac­com­pa­nied by Prof. Ingo Diehl and Su­san­ne Trie­bel.
