Tu­es­day Talks: Body 2.0, 20 Fe­bru­a­ry 2018

With a new fo­cus, the Tu­es­day Talks at tanz­haus nrw are de­di­ca­ted to ques­ti­ons about fu­ture bo­dies in art and so­cie­ty. As part of the se­ries of talks, chan­ging guests dis­cuss the me­cha­ni­sa­ti­on of bo­dies and ae­s­the­tics: What are the bo­dies of the fu­ture and how do they func­tion, think, feel, re­pro­du­ce? Is the­re a po­ten­ti­al for rethin­king towards self-care and self-em­power­ment in the de­cisi­on for the exis­ting as well as in the subt­le to ra­di­cal in­ter­ven­ti­ons in the body? And how are the­se de­ve­lop­ments re­flec­ted in dance, who­se core com­pe­tence is the body?

Ex­cur­si­on to Dres­den Past Pre­sent Fu­ture, Fe­bru­a­ry 7 - 10, 2018

In coope­ra­ti­on with the Tanz­fonds Erbe Pro­jekt Vil­la Wig­man für Tanz e.V., the cour­se will de­ve­lop con­tem­pora­ry trai­ning ap­proa­ches to Mary Wig­man for dif­fe­rent tar­get groups in Dres­den. Af­ter the par­ti­ci­pa­ti­on in the con­fe­rence Tanz­im­pul­se Mary Wig­man in June 2017 and the the­ma­tic dis­cus­sions on dance he­ri­ta­ge in the cur­rent se­mes­ter, this pro­ject will play­ful­ly test ex­em­pla­ry con­tem­pora­ry trans­la­ti­ons in the field of trai­ning.

 

De­ve­lop­men­tal Pat­terns Ja­nu­a­ry 22-24, 2018

In­ter­na­tio­nal guest lec­tu­rers Tru­de Cone and Ka Rust­ler will give a se­mi­nar on "De­ve­lop­men­tal Pat­terns" and pre­sent stu­dents with ano­t­her form of co-tea­ching which will be ex­plo­red in va­rious forms as part of the cour­se.

 

Sym­po­si­um on Dance Edu­ca­ti­on, Ja­nu­a­ry 20, 2018

Prof. Ingo Diehl is in­vi­ted to the sym­po­si­umRE­SPON­SES - HOW TO COM­MU­NI­CA­TE (ABOUT) DANCE in Ber­lin to pre­sent the MA CoDE in a pa­nel dis­cus­sion on the to­pic of "Qua­li­ty in Me­dia­ti­on" and to dis­cuss cur­rent pro­ces­ses in me­dia­ti­on work with col­leagues.

 

In­sti­tut del Tea­t­re Bar­ce­lo­na, 11 - 14 Ja­nu­a­ry 2018

Prof. Ingo Diehl is in­vi­ted to Bar­ce­lo­na to the In­sti­tut del Tea­t­re, whe­re he will pre­sent MA CoDE and lead dis­cus­sions on the struc­tu­ring of edu­ca­ti­on.

 

Fur­ther De­ve­lop­ment of Pie­ce­ma­ker, No­vem­ber 25, 2017 - Ja­nu­a­ry 27, 2018

In coope­ra­ti­on with the cour­ses De­sign/ Com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on De­sign at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Mainz and Ger­man Stu­dies/ Di­gi­tal Lin­gu­is­tics at the TU Darm­stadt, MA CoDE stu­dents will test the Pie­ce­ma­ker an­no­ta­ti­on soft­ware with ex­pert sup­port from Dr. Wib­ke Har­te­wig and pre­sent it for dis­cus­sion. Prof. Ingo Diehl from MA CoDE, Prof. Flo­ri­an Je­nett from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Mainz and co-de­ve­lo­per of the Mo­ti­on­bank pro­ject, and Prof. Dr. Mar­cus Mül­ler from TU Darm­stadt have pre­pa­red this pro­ject week in joint ex­chan­ge and from the dif­fe­rent per­spec­tives.

 

Ex­cur­si­on North Ka­re­lia Col­le­ge Ou­to­kum­pu, Fin­land, De­cem­ber 11 - 15, 2017

MA CoDE is go­ing on an ex­cur­si­on to Fin­land. Du­ring this working week MA CoDE stu­dents will ap­p­ly cur­rent tea­ching for­mats using Mary Wig­man and dif­fe­rent con­tem­pora­ry po­si­ti­ons as examp­les. For this, a cur­ri­cu­lum of the fu­ture will be de­ve­lo­ped tog­e­ther for the edu­ca­ti­on clas­ses of North Ka­re­lia Col­le­ge. This will be fol­lo­wed by the au­di­tion for the next ge­nera­ti­on of stu­dents in Hel­sin­ki.

10 Ye­ars of Tanz­plan Ger­ma­ny - A mee­ting in the con­text of Trai­ning To­tal in Ham­burg, 26 No­vem­ber - 1 De­cem­ber 2017

In coope­ra­ti­on with K3 at Kamp­na­gel in Ham­burg and HZT Ber­lin, stu­dents, free­lan­ce me­dia­tors and dance prac­ti­tio­ners will dis­cuss pro­fes­sio­nal trai­ning in re­la­ti­on to per­for­ma­ti­ve ac­tion, tech­ni­cal re­fe­rence sys­tems and in­sti­tu­tio­nal con­texts. MA CoDE will tra­vel to Ham­burg to of­fer dif­fe­rent trai­ning ap­proa­ches and dis­cuss their con­di­ti­ons.

 

Young Ears Net­work, No­vem­ber 24, 2017

As part of the award ce­re­mo­ny of theNetz­werk Jun­ge Oh­ren Pri­ze, the con­fe­rence on "En­coun­ters bet­ween Mu­sic Edu­ca­ti­on and Schools" will take place in coope­ra­ti­on with the Uni­ver­si­ty of Mu­sic and Per­forming Arts. Prof. Ingo Diehl will pre­sent con­cep­tu­al and struc­tu­ral con­si­de­ra­ti­ons for the Mas­ter of Con­tem­pora­ry Dance Edu­ca­ti­on de­gree pro­gram­me and give an in­sight into cur­rent me­dia­ti­on ap­proa­ches and pro­ject for­mats in the field of cul­tu­ral edu­ca­ti­on in dance.

 

10 Ye­ars MA CoDE, Oc­to­ber 26-29, 2017.

For the 10th an­ni­ver­s­a­ry of MA CoDE, all gra­dua­tes and cur­rent stu­dents were in­vi­ted to par­ti­ci­pa­te in a 4-day Alum­ni LAB. This LAB for­mat has been de­ve­lo­ped over the past ye­ars to crea­te op­por­tu­nities for pro­fes­sio­nal ex­chan­ge bet­ween the dif­fe­rent MA CoDE ge­nera­ti­ons and the in­di­vi­du­al bio­gra­phies of the gra­dua­tes. At the in­vi­ta­ti­on of the Hes­si­sches Staats­bal­lett on 28 Oc­to­ber, va­rious me­dia­ti­on for­mats of the MA CoDE and the alum­ni will be pre­sen­ted in Wies­ba­den. The 10th an­ni­ver­s­a­ry of MA CoDE will be ce­le­bra­ted tog­e­ther at the Tanz­fes­ti­val Rhein-Main.

Ka­tha­ri­ne Seh­nert on Wig­man Tech­ni­que, Oc­to­ber 16-20, 2017

For­mer Wig­man stu­dent, dance edu­ca­tor and cho­reo­gra­pher Ka­tha­ri­ne Seh­nert tea­ches the stu­dent group at the be­gin­ning of the se­mes­ter, ki­cking off a pro­ject as part of the Dance Fund He­ri­ta­ge. Du­ring the co­m­ing se­mes­ter, ap­proa­ches to tea­ching Wig­man will be de­ve­lo­ped prac­ti­cal­ly and theo­re­ti­cal­ly for dif­fe­rent tar­get groups.
