Required documents for the application
Please compile all documents into a single PDF file!
- Application form (e.g. AEC form)
- List of courses/classes you would like to attend*
- Curriculum Vitae (tabular)
- Letter of motivation
- Letter of recommendation from your main subject teacher (not mandatory, but recommended)
- Work samples (link to YouTube, Vimeo, Dropbox, etc.)
Music, acting: 3 pieces/scenes, max. 15 minutes total length
Composition, music education, directing: portfolio
Dance: 3 pieces - classical, contemporary, improvisation
*The Online Learning Agreement (OLA) will be created after the selection process has been completed.
The course catalogues provide an overview of the courses and classes offered in the current semester.
The study plans show the modules and courses for each degree program with the corresponding ECTS credits. The plans can be found under Study Programs from A-Z under the links for the individual study programs.

How does the appliction work?
All applications will be forwarded to the appropriate professors for a decision. If you are applying to study with a specific professor, he/she will receive the application first. Please inform the International Office if you would like this application to be submitted to other professors as well, in case the requested professor does not accept new students that term.
While the artistic performance is the main criteria in the selection process, the letter of motivation, CV and letter of recommendation are also taken into account. The HfMDK aims to provide a response to applicants within 8 weeks of the application deadline.
