Instrumental Studies and Conducting Master (Focus: Performance)
Course content
The Instrumental Studies and Conducting Master (Focus: Performance) (KIA) has been offered at the HfMDK since the winter semester 2012/2013, with the following profiles
- Soloistic training (not for orchestral instruments)
- Orchestral training
The goal of the master's program is to provide students with those competencies that enable them to independently pursue the profession of an orchestral musician or soloist.
Exploring career paths, developing competencies
Indispensable creative qualifications that are required and encouraged in the course of study are:
- an artistic and technical development on the respective main instrument that can meet the demands of today;
- an overview of the constantly growing repertoire;
- the ability to create dramaturgically appealing programs; and
- social skills that are necessary for working in an orchestra and that improve cooperation with concert organizers, conductors and the audience.
Study and examination regulations
The Study and Examination Regulations (SPO) set out the framework conditions and regulations for your studies. They apply together with the General Regulations (for Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes) or the SPoL (for teacher training degree programmes). All versions of the SPO for your degree programme (including earlier versions for students of previous academic years) can be found at Examinations.
