news

From May 1 to May 21, 2026, every kilometer counts: The University of Music and Performing Arts is once again taking part in the City of Frankfurt am Main's CITY CYCLING campaign!

for 21 days, students, staff, teachers, friends and supporters of the HfMDK will pedal together for more sustainable mobility in everyday life.

And of course there's a bit of competition involved: Every kilometer counts towards the overall result of our team, with which we compete with other teams from all over Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main region, such as universities like the HfG Offenbach and Goethe University.

The current result of the HfMDK STADTRADELN Team:

What is STADTRADELN actually?

STADTRADELN is a nationwide campaign to promote cycling in which cities, companies, districts, schools and, last but not least, universities can take part. Participants collect the kilometers they have cycled and challenge themselves and their team to cover as many distances as possible by bike in 21 days. This not only promotes the improvement of cycling infrastructure and climate protection - it also promotes your own health and balance!

Whether you cycle every day or only occasionally, every kilometer counts.

How can I take part?

All interested students, employees, university members, friends and supporters of the HfMDK can easily register via the
Registration link of the HfMDK or register again - this is still possible at any time after May 1st. The kilometers cycled can be tracked with the STADTRADELN app or manually.

All participants in the HfMDK university team who contribute at least one kilometer of cycling will also be entered into a draw for prizes from the HfMDK Sustainability Department.

We look forward to seeing many cyclists!
