The Master's programme in Theatre and Orchestra Management is characterised by its diversity, allowing each student to pursue their individual strengths and interests.

90% of the graduates of the 2010-2015 cohort have already found employment in the theatre, orchestras, the independent scene or the wider cultural sector immediately after completing their studies. 
Most of them enter positions with a high responsibility immediately after graduation. At the latest three years after graduation about 50% of the graduates already reach a first management position.

Many of the graduates of the younger classes of 2010-2015 are already orchestra directors and managers, managers of production houses, directors of artistic management offices and senior staff of artistic management offices, heads of departments or production managers of festivals, managers of independent ensembles in dance, music or drama or responsible editors of music programmes in radio.

In accordance with the objectives of the Hessian Theatre Academy, the students will be qualified to work in the following functions and institutions after completing the Master's programme:

• Management tasks in the field of a single or multi-branch theatre, such as deputy artistic director, managing director, operations director, artistic director
• Orchestra direction or orchestra management
• Programme management music and theatre festivals
• Production management of festivals, orchestras and concert halls
• Lead/co-lead marketing and sales at theatres, orchestras, etc.
• Head of Public Relations and Communication
• Head of the areas visitor management and development
• Head of Fundraising and Sponsorship
• Referent:inside the Intendanz and Management
• Specialists in artistic management offices (KBB) in the theatre
• Guest performance management in theatres, orchestras and at festivals
• Production management and management of independent projects and ensembles
• Management of venues of the independent scene
• Curatorial activities in the field of theatre and festivals
• Management tasks in agencies and artists' agencies
• Collaboration in cultural institutions of the city and the federal states
