Hol­lins Eu­ropean Sum­mer School, 24 - 29 July 2018

This year, MA CoDE will par­ti­ci­pa­te for one week in the Eu­ropean Sum­mer School at Hol­lins Uni­ver­si­ty (USA). The school or­ga­ni­zes an an­nu­al three-week re­si­den­cy pro­gram in coope­ra­ti­on with MA CoDE, Künst­ler­haus Mou­son­turm and Dres­den Frank­furt Dance Com­pa­ny. Re­now­ned in­ter­na­tio­nal ar­tists and scho­l­ars give trai­nings, work­shops and se­mi­nars, and top-class per­for­man­ces can be seen. The pro­gram­me is cu­ra­ted by Chris­to­pher Ro­man. Jef­frey Bullock and Prof. Ingo Diehl will teach a se­mi­nar tog­e­ther.

6th ge­nera­ti­on stu­dents pre­sent their re­spec­tive the­sis to­pics to fa­cul­ty, stu­dents, and alum­ni and pro­vi­de in­sight into their cur­rent re­se­arch.

 

Nina Woll­ny, May 14-18, 2018

As part of the Ap­p­lied Ana­to­my se­ries, Nina Woll­ny of­fers an in­ten­si­ve week on Coun­ter Tech­ni­que. The work­shop in­cor­po­ra­tes a wide ran­ge of ex­pe­ri­en­ces in mo­ve­ment, re­flec­tion and ob­ser­va­ti­on.

 

Anja Born­sek, May 2 - 4, 2018

Alum­na Anja Born­sek is working with G7 stu­dents on So­ma­tic Ana­to­my. This work­shop is part of a the­ma­tic se­ries on ap­p­lied ana­to­my in the sum­mer se­mes­ter.

In a work­shop spon­so­red by the Hfma, MA CuP and MA CoDE stu­dents have the op­por­tu­ni­ty to pre­sent fu­ture pro­jec­ts. They will be ac­com­pa­nied by a pro­fes­sio­nal coach.

The 6th ge­nera­ti­on MA CoDE is sub­mit­ting their mas­ter's the­sis to­pics. We keep our fin­gers crossed for fur­ther re­se­arch and com­ple­ti­on.

 

Hes­si­an In­ter­tanz with Anne Ju­ren, April 13-15, 2018

The HTA-fun­ded col­la­bo­ra­ti­ve pro­ject of the Hes­si­an dance cour­ses "In­ter­tanz" will take place at the HfMDK. The work­shop will be led by Anne Ju­ren. The aim is to ex­plo­re so­ma­tic prac­tices and their po­li­tics(s) in a prac­tice-ori­en­ted way. The pro­ject is a fur­ther de­ve­lop­ment of the col­la­bo­ra­ti­on bet­ween the HTA and the dance-re­la­ted trai­ning pro­gram­mes MA CoDE, BA­tanz (HfMDK), MA CUP (Jus­tus-Lie­big Uni­ver­si­ty Gies­sen).

 

Tea­ching rehe­ar­sal with BAs, 12, 16 - 17 April 2018

The fi­nal exam tea­ching rehe­ar­sals of the 6th ge­nera­ti­on in BA­tanz at the HfMDK will take place. The new stu­dent group of the MA CoDE will also par­ti­ci­pa­te in the­se tea­ching rehe­ar­sals.

 

An­drea Keiz Vi­deo Do­cu­men­ta­ti­on, April - June 2018

An­drea Keiz gi­ves an in­tro­duc­tion to dif­fe­rent forms of vi­deo do­cu­men­ta­ti­on and de­ve­lops in­di­vi­du­al short trai­lers tog­e­ther with the stu­dents on the ba­sis of dif­fe­rent ma­te­ri­als de­ve­lo­ped in the cour­se.

 

Se­mes­ter start, April 3, 2018

The sum­mer se­mes­ter 2018 be­gins and we wel­co­me the new stu­dents of Ge­nera­ti­on 7. At the same time, the last se­mes­ter of the cur­rent 6th ge­nera­ti­on be­gins, which fo­cu­ses on the fi­nal pha­se of their MA the­ses. In­tro­duc­tions and first in­ten­si­ve work pro­ces­ses are the start.
