Phy­si­cal In­tro­duc­tion in Go­then­burg, 15 - 16 Sep­tem­ber 2017

Phy­si­cal In­tro­duc­tion is an au­di­ence for­mat de­ve­lo­ped and exe­cu­t­ed by MA CoDE. With the aim to fur­ther ex­plo­re the for­mat in clo­se coope­ra­ti­on, Prof. Ingo Diehl and MA CoDE alum­na Anja Born­sek will in­te­gra­te Phy­si­cal In­tro­duc­tion into the out­re­ach pro­gram­me of Gö­te­borgs Operans Dans­kom­pa­ni.

 

Hol­lins Eu­ropean Sum­mer School, 24 - 29 July 2017

This year the MA CoDE will par­ti­ci­pa­te for one week in the Eu­ropean Sum­mer School at Hol­lins Uni­ver­si­ty (USA). The school or­ga­ni­zes an an­nu­al three-week re­si­den­cy pro­gram in coope­ra­ti­on with MA CoDE and the Dres­den Frank­furt Dance Com­pa­ny. Re­now­ned in­ter­na­tio­nal ar­tists and scho­l­ars give trai­nings, work­shops and se­mi­nars, and top-class per­for­man­ces can be seen. The pro­gram­me is cu­ra­ted by Chris­to­pher Ro­man. Jef­frey Bullock and Prof. Ingo Diehl will teach a se­mi­nar tog­e­ther.

Speed-Da­ting, 21 July 2017

At the MA CoDE Speed-Da­ting, MA CoDE stu­dents will meet and ex­chan­ge ide­as with a va­rie­ty of in­vi­ted ex­perts from dif­fe­rent fields. Af­ter­wards, the stu­dents choo­se their in­di­vi­du­al men­tors, who will ac­com­pa­ny them du­ring the next se­mes­ter

 

Ex­ami­na­ti­ons, 19 and 20 July 2017

On 19 and 20 July the exams in mo­du­les 1,2,4 will take place and the first year of the 6th MA CoDE Ge­nera­ti­on will be com­ple­ted.

 

Ca­pi­tal of Cul­tu­re Pa­phos ex­cur­si­on, 2 - 16 July 2017

At the in­vi­ta­ti­on of the 2017 Ca­pi­tal of Cul­tu­re Pa­phos, the MA CoDE pro­gram­me will de­ve­lop and im­ple­ment a site-spe­ci­fic and par­ti­ci­pato­ry pro­ject on site. In Pa­phos, a col­la­bo­ra­ti­on with the Ar­chi­tec­tu­re De­part­ment of the Uni­ver­si­ty of Nea­po­lis is plan­ned for the re­si­den­cy. At the same time, MA CoDE alum­ni are also in­vi­ted to Pa­fos to de­ve­lop their own pro­jec­ts.

MA CoDE Ap­p­li­ca­ti­on 2017, July 1, 2017

The dates for the next MA CoDE ap­p­li­ca­ti­on pe­ri­od in 2017 are set: the ap­p­li­ca­ti­on dead­line is Oc­to­ber 2, 2017, and au­di­tions (by in­vi­ta­ti­on only) will be held on No­vem­ber 18-19 in Frank­furt, Ger­ma­ny, and De­cem­ber 16 in Hel­sin­ki, Fin­land. Start of stu­dies is in April 2018. Fur­ther in­for­ma­ti­on un­der Ap­p­li­ca­ti­on and Qua­li­fy­ing Ex­ami­na­ti­on

Re­sour­ces LAB Di­gi­tal Pu­bli­ca­ti­ons, 24-27 April 2017

Bet­ween 24 and 27 April, a four-day Re­sour­ces Lab on Di­gi­tal Pu­bli­ca­ti­ons will take place at Mou­son­turm with our guest lec­tu­rer and Mo­ti­on­bank pro­ject lea­der Dr Scott de­Lah­un­ta tog­e­ther with Prof Ingo Diehl. Buil­ding on si­mi­lar for­mats in pre­vious ye­ars, the phy­si­cal trans­la­ti­on of di­gi­tal pu­bli­ca­ti­ons will be ex­plo­red and con­tex­tua­li­zed in this Lab tog­e­ther with in­vi­ted guests.

 

Fu­ture Con­fe­rence of FB3, 21 April 2017

Pre­pa­red by the Exe­cu­ti­ve Board and the Dean of De­part­ment 3, a Fu­ture Con­fe­rence will take place on 21 April with the the­me "in­no­va­ti­ve in­ter­na­tio­nal Mas­ter's pro­gram­mes". In­vi­ted are: Eva-Ma­ria Hörs­ter (In­ter-Uni­ver­si­ty Cent­re Ber­lin), Ha­yat Er­do­gan (Zu­rich Uni­ver­si­ty of the Arts) and Wolf­ram He­ber­le (Bern Uni­ver­si­ty of the Arts). Ta­ble dis­cus­sions will fo­cus on stu­dy re­forms for edu­ca­ti­on, re­ne­wal pro­ces­ses and chan­ges in stu­dy pro­gram­mes as well as new ten­den­ci­es in the per­forming arts. Among others, Cé­les­ti­ne Hen­ner­mann is re­spon­si­ble for the ta­ble.

 

HTA Ring Lec­tu­re on Me­dia­ti­on, April 20, 2017

In ce­le­bra­ti­on of its 10th an­ni­ver­s­a­ry, MA CoDE is hos­ting the Sum­mer Term 17 HTA Ring Lec­tu­re on the cur­rent de­ba­te around the to­pic of me­dia­ti­on. Hor­ten­sia Völckers, Ar­tis­tic Di­rec­tor of the Ger­man Fe­deral Cul­tu­ral Foun­da­ti­on, has agreed to open the event. The dis­cus­sion will be mo­de­ra­ted by Prof. Ingo Diehl.
