At this ye­ar's Ber­li­ner Fest­spie­le Tanz­tref­fen der Ju­gend, MA CoDE stu­dents Ila­na Rey­nolds and Ka­sia Us­tow­s­ka will par­ti­ci­pa­te and ex­chan­ge ide­as with stu­dents of Ele­men­ta­ry Mu­sic and Mo­ve­ment Stu­dies at the Uni­ver­si­ty Mo­zar­te­um Salz­burg. Prof. Ingo Diehl is part of the Board of Trus­tees.

Hol­lins Eu­ropean Sum­mer School, July 11-29, 2016

Hol­lins Uni­ver­si­ty (USA) is hos­ting its Eu­ropean Sum­mer School again this year - a three-week re­si­den­cy pro­gram in coope­ra­ti­on with MA CoDE, Dres­den Frank­furt Dance Com­pa­ny and Künst­ler­haus Mou­son­turm. Re­now­ned in­ter­na­tio­nal ar­tists and scho­l­ars will give trai­nings, work­shops and se­mi­nars, and top-class per­for­man­ces will be pre­sen­ted. The pro­gram is cu­ra­ted by Chris­to­pher Ro­man. Jef­frey Bullock and Prof. Ingo Diehl will teach a se­mi­nar tog­e­ther.

Prof Die­ter Heit­kamp, Di­rec­tor of Edu­ca­ti­on ZuKT and Su­san­ne Trie­bel, Coor­di­na­tor MA CoDE, con­duct ad­van­ced trai­nings for tea­chers and dan­cers of the Dance Aca­de­my Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). In ad­di­ti­on to prac­ti­cal trai­ning in con­tact im­pro­vi­sa­ti­on, the Frank­furt BA­tanz cour­se will be pre­sen­ted and dis­cus­sed as an examp­le.

At the Dance Con­gress in Ha­no­ver, MA CoDE stu­dents in­vi­te in­te­rested and mo­ve­ment-hungry con­gress par­ti­ci­pants to phy­si­cal­ly test his­to­ri­cal and con­tem­pora­ry trai­ning ap­proa­ches in dance wi­t­hin the frame­work of "Phy­si­cal Ex­plo­ra­ti­ons".

Start of se­mes­ter, April 4, 2016

The sum­mer se­mes­ter kicks off with the 4-day Alum­ni Lab, which con­sists of trai­ning ses­si­ons and feed-backs led by cur­rent stu­dents, as well as pre­sen­ta­ti­ons by MA CoDE alum­ni. The for­mat fa­ci­li­ta­tes the ex­chan­ge of ex­pe­ri­en­ces bet­ween ge­nera­ti­ons of stu­dents and streng­t­hens the in­ter­nal net­work.
