MA CoDE: Summer semester 16

Dance Meeting of the Youth, 23 - 30 September 2016

At this year's Berliner Festspiele Tanztreffen der Jugend, MA CoDE students Ilana Reynolds and Kasia Ustowska will participate and exchange ideas with students of Elementary Music and Movement Studies at the University Mozarteum Salzburg. Prof. Ingo Diehl is part of the Board of Trustees.

 

HTA Postgraduate Grant "Artistic Research" (2016), September 20, 2016

Hollins European Summer School, July 11-29, 2016

Hollins University (USA) is hosting its European Summer School again this year - a three-week residency program in cooperation with MA CoDE, Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company and Künstlerhaus Mousonturm. Renowned international artists and scholars will give trainings, workshops and seminars, and top-class performances will be presented. The program is curated by Christopher Roman. Jeffrey Bullock and Prof. Ingo Diehl will teach a seminar together.

 

Exchange with Hanoi , July 13-25, 2016

Prof Dieter Heitkamp, Director of Education ZuKT and Susanne Triebel, Coordinator MA CoDE, conduct advanced trainings for teachers and dancers of the Dance Academy Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). In addition to practical training in contact improvisation, the Frankfurt BAtanz course will be presented and discussed as an example.

 

Physical Explorations at the Dance Congress, June 16-19, 2016

At the Dance Congress in Hanover, MA CoDE students invite interested and movement-hungry congress participants to physically test historical and contemporary training approaches in dance within the framework of "Physical Explorations".

Physical Introduction Conference, 10-12 June 2016

Together with Prof. Ingo Diehl and Anja Bornsek (MA CoDE alumna), the tanzhaus nrw organizes a seminar weekend on the topic of "Physical Introduction", an introduction format developed in the MA CoDE.

 

MA CoDE Audition, 4 and 5 June 2016

MA CoDE invites you to the audition for the next cohort in Frankfurt. The 6th generation of students will start their studies in October 2016.

 

PhD project presentation, June 1, 2016

As the first MA CoDE alumna in a PhD process, Miranda Glikson presents her research project"Movements in places: Spaces of indeterminacy in the built environment." at the HfMDK and applies with it to a university in Australia.

Developmental Patterns, May 9, 2016

From 9 to 12 May, international guest lecturers Trude Cone and Ka Rustler will give a seminar week on "Developmental Patterns", culminating in a joint discussion with guest lecturer Henrik Göhle on "Developmental Psychology".

 

DOCH Stockholm, April 17, 2016

From April 17 to 24, the MA CoDE will be on a field trip to Stockholm. The educational exchange with the MA Contemporary Dance Didactics program at DOCH University of Applied Sciences includes a week of joint trainings, workshops, presentations and discussions. PLAN PLAY, April 8, 2016

MA CoDE gives classes at PLAN-SPIEL at the HfMDK. On this day all students of the university visit classes at other departments to get to know them.

 

Start of semester, April 4, 2016

The summer semester kicks off with the 4-day Alumni Lab, which consists of training sessions and feed-backs led by current students, as well as presentations by MA CoDE alumni. The format facilitates the exchange of experiences between generations of students and strengthens the internal network.
