Study at the Young Academy
The pre-college
Optimally prepared for music studies: The Young Academy of the HfMDK Frankfurt offers musically highly gifted young people comprehensive musical training parallel to their school education.
The main subject lessons on the instrument or in singing focus on the holistic development of the artistic personality: Experienced and successful professors support the young exceptional talents individually and intensively.
The subjects of correpetition, chamber music, new music as well as music theory and ear training are firmly anchored in the curriculum of the Young Academy. Excursions and freely selectable workshops, for example in physical training and movement theory, mental training or early music, additionally enrich the range of lessons.
The young students attend classes in music theory and ear training as well as the supplementary offers in blocks on Saturdays, so that the compatibility with school attendance is guaranteed.
Integrated into the everyday life of the HfMDK, the young students of the Young Academy gain valuable stage experience through performances at internal and public concerts of the university.
