The Trio Chi­me­ra was foun­ded un­der the su­per­vi­si­on of Pa­trick Juedt at the Bern Uni­ver­si­ty of the Arts and gra­dua­ted with a mas­ter's de­gree in cham­ber mu­sic in 2023. In Ita­ly, it stu­di­ed with the Quar­tet­to di Cre­mo­na at the Stauf­fer Cen­ter for Strings and com­ple­ted post­gra­dua­te stu­dies at the Con­ser­va­to­rio A. Boi­to in Par­ma with the Trio di Par­ma. Fur­ther mu­si­cal in­spi­ra­ti­on came from his en­coun­ters with Mischa Mais­ky, Ami­ram Ganz, An­to­nio Me­ne­ses, Eck­art Run­ge and Cli­ve Greens­mith.

The en­sem­ble has al­rea­dy per­for­med in many Eu­ropean ci­ties such as Bu­da­pest, Ma­drid, Bar­ce­lo­na, Bern and Vil­ni­us. In April 2023, the­re was a con­cert with Si­mo­ne Gra­ma­glia in Ad­dis Ab­a­ba, in con­junc­tion with a mas­ter class for the stu­dents of the Ya­red Uni­ver­si­ty of Mu­sic. In 2024, the trio went on a tour of the USA with con­certs in Wa­shing­ton D. C., Tenaf­ly and Lan­cas­ter. In Ita­ly, it was in­vi­ted to the 66th Fes­ti­val dei Due Mon­di in Spo­le­to, the So­cie­tà dei Con­cer­ti in Mi­lan, the So­cie­tà del Quar­tet­to in Vicen­za, the 55th Fes­ti­val del­le Na­zio­ni in Città di Cas­tel­lo and the 25th Viot­ti Fes­ti­val, among others.

In 2022 it held an ar­tist re­si­den­cy at the Uni­ver­si­ty of the Arts in Ti­ra­na, whe­re it took part in a mas­ter class in com­po­si­ti­on with Jo­han­nes Kretz (MdW Vi­en­na), Jana An­d­reevs­ka (Fa­cul­ty of Mu­sic in Skop­je) and An­ne­lies Van Pa­rys (Roy­al Con­ser­vato­ry of Brussels). In 2023 it was in­vi­ted by Henk Guitt­art of the Schoe­n­berg Quar­tet for a re­si­den­cy at the 23rd Fes­ti­val Per­go­le­si Spon­ti­ni in Jesi.
