Pol­lux Trio

The Pol­lux Trio was foun­ded in April 2023 by vio­li­nist Mo­ritz Kö­nig, cel­list Muf­ei Feng and pia­nist Qi­ong­dan Liang in Frank­furt am Main. Sin­ce then, the en­sem­ble has been taught by Prof. An­ge­li­ka Merk­le at the Frank­furt Uni­ver­si­ty of Mu­sic and Per­forming Arts. It re­cei­ved fur­ther va­lu­able im­pul­ses and ar­tis­tic in­spi­ra­ti­on from the Sto­rio­ni Trio, Lu­cas Fels and So­phia Jaf­fé.

Two of the mem­bers of the Pol­lux Trio are en­ga­ged in high­ly qua­li­fied or­che­s­tras: Mo­ritz Kö­nig is de­pu­ty 1st con­cert­mas­ter of the Staats­phil­har­mo­nie Nürn­berg and Muf­ei Feng is an aca­de­mist at the Paul Hin­de­mith Or­ches­tra Aca­de­my of the Frank­furt Ope­ra. In Ja­nu­a­ry 2025, the Pol­lux Trio took part in the Fe­lix Men­dels­sohn Bar­thol­dy Uni­ver­si­ty Com­pe­ti­ti­on in Ber­lin.
