Par­king re­gu­la­ti­ons and fees

1. Employees under collective bargaining agreements, civil servants, and professors employed by the HfMDK are required to pay.

2. Adjunct instructors and salaried employees up to pay grade 7 are exempt from this fee.

3. Effective January 1, 2026, the fee is €15 per month for all parking spaces, regardless of whether they are located in the underground garage or the outdoor parking area.

4. Parking authorization is activated on a monthly basis, valid through the end of the current year at the latest.

1. The underground parking garage is available only to employees and professors.

2. Parking spaces are not provided for students.

3. There are no assigned parking spaces, and a parking permit does not guarantee an available parking space.

4. Guests must be registered in advance at the gate by the person inviting them. Upon entry, access will be granted via the intercom. They must then pick up a guest parking permit at the gate, on which the gate attendant will enter the date and the license plate number. This permit is valid only on the day of the exhibition and must be placed in a clearly visible location behind the windshield.

1. The HfMDK parking spaces are reserved exclusively for staff use. Private use is prohibited.
2. Parking authorization is valid only during the authorized person’s class or work hours.
3. Authorization to enter the parking lot does not guarantee a vacant parking space.
4. If no parking space is available, access will automatically be denied.
5. The university is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to the vehicle, including any items inside the car.
6. Driving into, entering, or remaining in the parking area is at your own risk.
7. The university is not liable for either personal injury or property damage.

1. Vehicles may only drive through the park at walking speed.
2. The German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) in their currently valid version apply.
3. You must stop at closed barriers. The entry and exit barriers open automatically upon license plate recognition. The barriers close automatically immediately after each vehicle passes through. Reversing in the area of the barrier system is prohibited.
4. Vehicles may only be parked in the designated parking spaces. Do not use blocked parking spaces. Vehicles parked in violation of traffic regulations will be towed at the driver’s or owner’s risk and expense.
5. Users must park their vehicles within the marked boundaries of the parking space in such a way that unobstructed entry and exit—including to and from adjacent parking spaces—is possible at all times.
6. Driveways and fire department access routes must be kept clear.
7. The following is not permitted:
   1. parking vehicles in marked no-parking zones
   2. the use of fire
   3. refueling the vehicle
   4. leaving the engine running
   5. parking or storing objects, especially fuel and flammable materials, such as empty fuel containers and the like
   6. Parking a vehicle with a leaking fuel tank or carburetor, as well as other damage to the vehicle that poses a hazard to the parking area
   7. Parking vehicles not registered with the police
   8. Performing repairs, washing or otherwise cleaning vehicles, or draining or refilling coolant, fuel, and oil
   9. Dumping trash or the contents of ashtrays.

1. The vehicle may be parked in one of the available parking spaces in the underground garage. Do not use any reserved parking spaces here either. The electric vehicle parking spaces are reserved exclusively for registered users and electric vehicles.
2. The following is not permitted:
   1. parking the vehicle in reverse
   2. remaining in the underground parking garage—inside the parked vehicle—beyond the time required for parking and retrieving the vehicle
   3. the unauthorized use of the facilities in the garage
   4. smoking and the use of open flames.

The HfMDK’s right to manage its premises is not restricted by these parking regulations.
