Nora Kim­ball trai­ned in New York City at the Na­tio­nal Aca­de­my of Bal­let be­fo­re at­ten­ding The Harkness House for Bal­let Arts, then stu­di­ed fur­ther at The Ame­ri­can Bal­let Thea­ter School. She first worked with Eli­ot Feld Bal­let be­fo­re go­ing onto to be­co­me a so­loist with the Stutt­gart Bal­lett , af­ter­which she joi­ned Ne­der­lands Dans Thea­ter to work with Jiri Ky­li­an. Re­tur­ning to the USA ,Kim­ball dan­ced as a so­loist with Ame­ri­can Bal­let Thea­ter and went on fur­ther to dance with Ka­ro­le Ar­mi­ta­ge. In 1988, she re­tur­ned to Eu­ro­pe to join the Frank­furt Bal­lett to work with Wil­liam For­sy­the. Du­ring this time she also worked with fa­shion de­si­gner, Is­sey Mi­ya­ke and Ame­ri­can ope­ra di­rec­tor, Pe­ter Sel­lars. She con­ti­nues to work in Frank­furt tea­ching the Zena Rom­mett Floor Bar­re Tech­ni­que TM sin­ce 2001 in the Dance de­part­ment of the Hoch­schu­le für Mu­sik und Dar­stel­len­de Kunst as well as gi­ving Rom­mett se­mi­nars world­wi­de.
