Trio Legend was founded in 2017 by violinist Krzysztof Katana, cellist Monika Krasicka-Gajownik and pianist Agnieszka Zahaczewska-Książek. The members of Trio Legend are graduates of the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow and doctoral students at the music academies in Katowice and Krakow.

In their current line-up, they have won prizes at the 8th International Johannes Brahms Chamber Music Competition in Gdańsk (2018, 2nd prize), the 26th International Johannes Brahms Competition in Pörtschach (2019, 1st prize), the 2nd International Competition for Polish Music in Rzeszów (2021, honorable mention). Thanks to their success in these competitions, they received the Guarneri Trio Prague scholarship, which allowed them to participate in master classes in Wengen (Switzerland) and Schlitz (Germany). In 2020, Trio Legend participated in several online concerts as part of projects such as the Polish Music Experience, the Thirtieth International Festival of Young Laureates of Music Competitions, the Partnership for Music 2.0 program, and the ÖHome series of the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz.

The ensemble has had the privilege of working with such chamber music greats as Ida Bieler, Stephan Goerner Goerner, Marek Jerie, Josef Klusoň, Ivan Klánský, Ulrich Koella, Charles Richard-Hamelin, Maria Szwajger-Kułakowska, Wiesław Kwaśny and Kaja Danczowska.

The members of the trio are currently studying chamber music with Chia Chou at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (KUG).
