The Jasper Trio, consisting of Yuliia Van (violin), Damir Ochaev (cello) and Séverine Kim (piano), was founded in 2021 at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media. Since then, the young musicians have been coached by Prof. Markus Becker. They have received further musical impulses, which they have already been able to incorporate in their first concerts, from Salvatore Accardo, Anton Sinaiski, Hatto Beyerle and Hinrich Alpers, among others.

The three experienced chamber musicians have already performed in various formations on international stages in Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Korea, China and the USA.

As soloists, they have distinguished themselves through international competition successes and performances in important concert halls and festivals worldwide: Violinist Yuliia Van has won four special prizes at the Mirecourt Violin Competition, in addition to first prize, and has performed with orchestras such as the NDR- Radiophilharmonie and the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra. Cellist Damir Ochaev has won first prize in both categories, solo and chamber music, at the Savshinsky International Music Competition and has performed several times as a soloist with the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic. In addition to numerous prizes at international competitions (Hastings, ZF Music Prize, etc.), pianist Séverine Kim has made guest appearances at concert halls such as the Concertgebouw Amsterdam or the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, and at festivals such as the International Festival of Young Masters and the Silesian Beethoven Festival in Głogówek. Since 2021 she is the founder and artistic director of the festival "Celle Summer Concerts".

The three musicians are supported by various foundations such as the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and the Werner Richard - Dr. Carl Dörken Stiftung.
