Be­fo­re you en­rol in per­son, pay the se­mes­ter fee and com­ple­te on­line en­rolment.
Have you al­rea­dy done both? In the last week of Au­gust, you will be gi­ven the op­por­tu­ni­ty to make an ap­point­ment for en­roll­ment. You will re­cei­ve in­for­ma­ti­on about this by e-mail.

Check­list for per­so­nal en­roll­ment

  • Iden­ti­fi­ca­ti­on do­cu­ment (pass­port or iden­ti­ty card)
  • prin­ted pass­port pho­to (other­wi­se we can­not is­sue you with a stu­dent ID card)
  • any mis­sing do­cu­ments such as cer­ti­fi­ca­tes, lan­guage cer­ti­fi­ca­te, etc.
  • the HfMDK must have re­cei­ved the elec­tro­nic re­gis­tra­ti­on for health insuran­ce, fur­ther in­for­ma­ti­on can be found at the bot­tom of this page.

Where do I have to go?

You will find us at Ger­vi­nus­stra­ße 15. Our of­fices are on the 3rd floor (Ger 315 and 316).

If you are un­su­re, you can ask at the gate in the main buil­ding, whe­re you will be gi­ven di­rec­tions. It is about a 5-mi­nu­te walk from the main buil­ding to Ger­vi­nus­stra­ße.

Un­for­tu­n­a­te­ly, we can­not en­roll you wi­t­hout con­fir­ma­ti­on of your insuran­ce sta­tus. Re­gard­less of whe­ther you have sta­tuto­ry or pri­va­te health insuran­ce in Ger­ma­ny, are co­ve­r­ed by your for­eign insuran­ce in Ger­ma­ny or have ta­ken out spe­cial insuran­ce for your stu­dies in Ger­ma­ny:

An­yo­ne and ever­yo­ne who starts stu­dy­ing in Ger­ma­ny must ap­p­ly to a Ger­man sta­tuto­ry health insuran­ce com­pa­ny!

Of cour­se not, the choice of how you want to take out health insuran­ce is up to you. It is ne­cessa­ry to con­tact a Ger­man sta­tuto­ry health insuran­ce com­pa­ny, as only they can send us the elec­tro­nic no­ti­fi­ca­ti­on that we need for your en­roll­ment.

Do I have to con­tact a spe­ci­fic health insuran­ce com­pa­ny?

No, you are free to choo­se, the only im­portant thing is that it is a Ger­man sta­tuto­ry health insuran­ce com­pa­ny.
