Winter semester 2025/26: Introduction for new students in Faculty 1

The introductory events for Artistic Music Studies (KAM) will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025 in room B 203 at the following times:

• Bachelor KAM: 3 to 4.45 pm
• Master KAM: 5 to 6.30 pm

The introductory event for the Master Instrumental Studies (Focus: Teaching) (IP) will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025 in room B 203 at the following time:

• Master IP: 12 noon to 1.30 pm

During the introductory events

• we explain how your studies work, in particular how to use the course catalog and how to arrange the classes and seminars of the first semester,
• a division into courses is made,
• certain conditions of individual courses and registration modalities are explained,
• and, of course, you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Please have your student handbook (Studienbuch) ready for the introductory event. You can find the study plans on the website of your degree program.

Please note that no further individual introductions are offered beyond this and that you should therefore make sure you attend this event.

On the day of the introductory events, there will also be guided tours of the library and you will receive information about the German courses at the HfMDK.
