Greeting from the president on the re-election

news

Dear students,
Dear colleagues in teaching and administration,

The extended Senate has re-elected me as President. I would like to thank you very much for the trust you have placed in me. I am delighted to be able to continue the successful development of the HfMDK together with you, with the people who study, teach and work here, as well as those who accompany us as friends in politics and society.

For me, art is experience and insight, differentiation and empathy. Art has a special significance in times of increasing brutalisation in our world and society, in which creativity and reflection can create a utopian place of humanity. We want to shape these opportunities with confidence.

The most important project of my second term of office remains the urgently needed new building for the HfMDK. I demand decisions from the new government in Hesse.

I invite you to join me in taking responsibility for our university in our respective roles and responsibilities. For me, my re-election is an affirmation of the path we have taken and at the same time a mandate to take a closer look at the internal development of our university with critical reflection, starting with my own responsibility and leadership.

The election phase led to an intense dialogue within our university. Different perspectives, divisions and challenges became apparent. A decision has now been made. I encourage us to continue to develop our university with a sense of community and appreciation.

I will continue to do all I can for the HfMDK and, above all, for you, who make our university special. I look forward to continuing to work with you!

Yours sincerely
Elmar Fulda
