Christmas greetings from the President

news

Dear students,
dear colleagues in teaching and administration,

we have been challenged this year. We feel that the war in Ukraine is also threatening our peace, targeting our self-image of respect and understanding. The conflict in the Middle East is also having an impact on us, radicalizing the discourse, discrediting differentiation and balance.

In my opinion: We should confidently defend our freedom, pluralism, diversity and humanity!

Our university is a utopian place where we can design a different, perhaps better world. Where there is space for art that everyone is invited to create. Where we value each other, deal openly with different perspectives, wrestle respectfully for common solutions and resolve conflicts fairly. Because the combination of creativity and the power of discourse, the joy of creation and humanity makes the HfMDK a special place.

Thank you for your enthusiasm, commitment and participation! The HfMDK is the right place for us.

I wish you a relaxing and wonderful Christmas with the people who are important to you, and all the best for the New Year!

Kind regards
